Welcome to Glenholme Day Centre

Our day care centre is a special facility in the Roker area of Sunderland, attached to our Glenholme care home at the same site. It is an ideal choice for elderly people who may live alone in their own home or with relatives but who would like to enjoy new activities or just socialising with people in their own age group. It is open to everyone - and you can come as often as you like.

We offer a wide range of things to do from flower arranging to woodwork, art to dancing, keep fit or pampering by our hairdresser, chiropodist or aromatherapist We organise outings, or visits from special guests - including pets !! The highlight of the day is the home cooked lunch which is served in the dining room overlooking the garden. For some people just being able to talk to someone else is enough – whether its another resident, or one of our team of expert carers.

Everyone who wants to come to the day centre is collected from home or place of choice and we drop you off at the end of the day.
